33rd Annual Art Show!

The Seneca Nation Library will hold our 33rd annual Art Show from September 24th through October 5h 2012. This year the even will be held in the Grand Hall of the Allegany Administration building. Submission forms can be obtained from either of the two library branches. And Art show pieces can be dropped off at the Allegany library no later than September 19th 2012 by 6:00 PM.

For every overdue item that you return, you will get an entry for an e-reader! Drop off any book, DVD or magazine between September 10th and September 20th 2012 to either library to be included in the drawing.

Allegany Territory Book Club participants: Next meeting will be September 11th at 6:00.

We will be reviewing our readership’s progress on the biography Steve Jobs. We will also be briefing our members who didn’t make it to the last meeting about our plans for developing a scheduled reading list. I will also be walking our participants through the process of using their new library cards to conduct inter-loans for future selections.

Seneca Nation Library will soon be issuing late notices and fees.

Because we have automated our material at the library we now have a much better system for determining who has what material and if it is late. The fees are ten cents a day for books and periodicals, and a dollar a day per movie. Please be advised to check the receipt which is given to you at check out as it has the due dates printed on them for each item loaned out.
We emphasize this because at a dollar a day per movie the fees tend to get very steep very quickly. Nya:weh from the library staff.
